Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains what personal data this website collects, why, which service providers are involved, how long the data is kept and what rights you have. It describes our current practice and is updated whenever that practice changes.

1. Who we are

Operator:
CITY BYSON Pty Ltd

CSBX is a Stone Polymer Composite business brand owned by CITY BYSON Pty Ltd. CITY BYSON Pty Ltd is responsible for the commercial operation of CSBX, including product enquiries, customer communications and business development activities conducted through this website.

Requests about your personal data can be sent to the contact address at the end of this page.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal data collected through this website, including the sample, quote and contact forms, uploaded files, and any analytics or advertising technologies used on the site.

It does not apply to websites operated by third parties, even where this website links to them.

3. Browsing this website

You can read every page of this website without creating an account or entering personal data.

When you load a page, our hosting provider processes the technical data needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, in server logs used for operation and security.

We use website analytics and, with your consent, advertising technologies. These are described in sections 8 and 9. They are activated only where you have given the relevant consent, except for analytics that do not require it where permitted by law.

4. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact details you provide: name, work email address and, optionally, a telephone number.
  • Company details you provide: company name, country or region, industry and your role.
  • Your requirement: product to be packed, packaging type, dimensions, load, environment, quantities, printing, delivery destination and timing, and any message you write.
  • Files you choose to upload: drawings, dielines, specifications or photographs of existing packaging.
  • Technical data about your visit, as described in sections 3, 8 and 9.

5. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, upload a file or contact us.

We collect technical data automatically as you browse the website, as described in sections 3, 8 and 9.

6. Product and business enquiries

This website offers three forms: Request a Sample, Request a Quote and Contact. We use the information you provide to:

  • review your request from an engineering and commercial point of view and to reply to you;
  • prepare samples, quotations and follow-up communication about your request;
  • keep a record of business enquiries and the packaging requirements behind them;
  • protect the forms against automated abuse and to limit repeated submissions.

Fields marked as optional can be left empty. Please do not submit information you are not entitled to share. Together with the form content we record the time of submission, the form type, whether the anti-abuse check was passed, and a salted hash of your IP address. We do not store your IP address in plain form; the hash is used only to limit the number of submissions per hour from one connection.

7. How we use personal information

  • To respond to your enquiry and manage related business communications.
  • To evaluate packaging requests and prepare samples and quotations.
  • To keep a record of business enquiries.
  • To protect the website and forms against abuse.
  • To understand how the website is used, where you have consented to analytics.

We use the data only for these purposes. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising that targets you personally, except as described in section 9 where you have given consent.

8. Website analytics

We use a lightweight, privacy-oriented analytics service (Plausible) to understand how the website is used: which pages are visited, from where and with what devices. It does not use cookies and does not collect personal data such as names, email addresses or IP-based profiling.

Analytics is loaded only where permitted by law; where consent is required, it is activated only after you accept the Analytics category in the cookie preferences.

9. Cookies and advertising technologies

This website sets only those cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, unless you have accepted additional categories.

If you accept the Advertising category, we may load the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) to measure the performance of advertising and to support ad delivery. The pixel may collect technical data about your visit and your interactions with this website.

Meta Pixel is not loaded unless you have accepted the Advertising category. Where it is loaded, it is configured so that form content, email addresses, phone numbers and other sensitive information you submit are not sent to Meta.

You can change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings and by clearing your consent.

10. Service providers

The following providers process data on our behalf to operate this website and its forms. Each provider acts under a data processing agreement and may process data in countries other than yours.

  • Supabase: hosted database in which form submissions are stored, and private file storage for uploaded files.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: anti-abuse check on the final step of each form. Cloudflare processes technical data about your browser and connection to decide whether the submission is automated, and may use cookies or local storage in your browser for this purpose.
  • Resend: email delivery service that sends an internal notification about each submission to our contact mailbox. The notification contains a summary of the request; uploaded files are not attached or linked.
  • Vercel: hosting and content delivery for the website, including the server logs described in section 3.
  • Plausible: website analytics as described in section 8.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc.: advertising technology as described in section 9, loaded only with your consent.

We do not share form data with any other third party unless we are required to by law or you ask us to.

11. Overseas data processing

The service providers listed in section 10 may process data in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required, and we keep transfers limited to the providers needed to operate the website.

12. Data security

Form data is written to the database by our server only; no browser has direct access to it. Uploaded files are stored privately. Access to stored submissions is limited to people who handle enquiries. IP addresses are stored only as a salted hash. No transmission or storage method is completely free of risk, and we review these measures as the website develops.

13. Data retention

We keep form submissions and uploaded files for as long as needed to handle your request, to follow up on it and to keep a record of the enquiry. When the data is no longer needed for these purposes it is deleted or anonymised.

Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you.

14. Access and correction

Subject to applicable data protection law, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete. To exercise these rights, write to the contact address at the end of this page. We may need to confirm that a request comes from you before acting on it.

15. Deletion requests

You can ask us to delete your submission, uploaded files and any other personal data we hold about you at any time. We will respond to deletion requests within the period required by applicable law, subject to any legal obligation to retain the data.

16. Direct marketing

Submitting a product or business enquiry is not a consent to marketing.

We do not send marketing communications based on form submissions. If we ever offer newsletters or marketing communications, they will be sent only where you have separately opted in, and you will be able to opt out at any time.

17. Privacy complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal data in a way that is not consistent with this policy or applicable law, please contact us at the address at the end of this page. You may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

18. Third-party links

Where this website links to third-party websites, we have no control over their content, their privacy practices or any data they collect. A link does not imply endorsement.

19. Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the way this website handles personal data changes, for example when a new form, service, provider or advertising technology is introduced. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
