Applications
Where SPC packaging fits
We develop packaging for a small number of demanding applications: wet, cold, stacked and handled repeatedly. This page shows where the approach applies and how a project is evaluated.
Application matrix
Typical challenge and development focus by application. This is a development guide, not a performance rating.
| Application | Typical challenge | Packaging development focus |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh produce | Humidity, wash water and airflow | Ventilation and drainage |
| Cold chain | Condensation and temperature-controlled routes | Material and structure evaluated together |
| Seafood | Wet handling and chilled distribution | Moisture-oriented structure and drainage |
| Food & beverage | Bottle organisation and stable stacking | Dividers, cells and pads |
| Industrial logistics | Repeated handling and circulation | Durability of the structure |
| Electronics | Precision parts and protective separation | Dividers, compartments and cushioning structures |
| Future material applications | Identified but not yet developed | Tracked separately from current packaging |
No certified performance is implied. Each project is developed and evaluated on samples. Future material applications (flooring, furniture panels, decorative panels and other building-material products) are tracked separately and are not part of the current packaging range.
Packaging challenges we develop around
The same handful of conditions come up in every application.
Moisture
Wet products, wash water and condensation.
Cold
Refrigerated and temperature-controlled routes with cold-to-ambient transitions.
Stacking
Pallet loads stacked in storage and in transit.
Repeated handling
Loaded, moved and unloaded many times on one trip or across trips.
Internal organisation
Containers, bottles and products that must stay in position.
Identification
Basic printing for grower, product or brand identification.
How a project is evaluated
Engineering review comes before prototyping; validation comes before any volume supply.
- 01
Requirement
Product, dimensions, load, environment, handling, printing.
- 02
Engineering review
Board and structure concept developed around the requirement.
- 03
Sample
Physical sample evaluated in your own conditions.
- 04
Trial order
Small batch before commercial supply.
Design variables
What we actually change from one application to the next.
- Inner and outer dimensions
- Board build and rib structure
- Box geometry: tray, lidded box, sleeve
- Ventilation slots
- Drainage features
- Partitions and dividers
- Top and bottom pads
- Hand holes
- Stacking details
- Printing
Is your application on this page?
If it is wet, cold, stacked or handled repeatedly, it probably is. Send us the details.
